How to Clean Your PU Leather or White Bag Without Ruining the Print
In short: Wipe your PU leather bag with a cloth dampened with warm water and a little mild soap, and never soak it. Printed fabric bags like fabric totes can be gently washed in cold water. Either way: no bleach, no solvents and no hard scrubbing on the print.
Cleaning a PU leather bag
- Empty the bag and shake out the dust inside.
- Dampen a soft cloth with warm water and a drop of mild soap or baby shampoo, and wring it out well.
- Wipe in gentle circular motions, especially over the print.
- Wipe again with a cloth dampened with plain water, then dry with a dry cloth.
- Let it air-dry, away from the sun and the hair dryer.

White or light-colored bags
- Clean them as you go. A fresh stain comes out way more easily than an old one.
- Pen or makeup stains: a damp cloth and mild soap, and test on a hidden spot first.
- Don't put anything inside that transfers color, like new jeans or wet colored bags.
- Store it in a fabric dust bag so dust doesn't turn it yellow.
Printed fabric bags (fabric totes and beach bags)
- Gentle wash in cold water, turned inside out first.
- No bleach or whitener.
- Air-dry, and if you iron it, iron the reverse side, not the print.

Printed shoes
Our printed sneakers and espadrilles have an Oxford fabric upper, so spot-clean them with a damp cloth and mild soap and let them air-dry. Don't put them in the washing machine.
Things to avoid
- Bleach, alcohol, acetone and solvents.
- Stiff brushes and hard scrubbing on the print.
- Direct sun and high heat for long periods, like a car dashboard in summer.
